Hygienic Floors Installation

Hygienic walls / Floor junction

Typically vinyl safety flooring is a compliment to cladding as it provides a clean - easy to maintain - non slip surface

Safety Flooring

Safety flooring is invariably used in environments where wall cladding is installed. HygienaClad can provide complete flooring solutions to compliment our wall cladding installations.

Safety flooring is ideal for use in areas which are normally dry but where occasional spillages can occur, making slip resistance an important consideration.

Typical areas include hospital wards, clinics, laundry and sluice rooms, nursing homes, washrooms, bars, food preparation areas, kitchens, canteens and institutional applications.

Material Selection

A variety of floor ranges, colours and styles can be supplied and these are outlined in the Floor Products section of this site.

Installation

Vinyl flooring can be installed on most solid substrates. It is recommended that a moisture test is carried out as moisture in the substrate can lead to failures.

Typically in areas where vinyl flooring and hygienic cladding are installed the substrate is latexed prior to the vinyl flooring being laid. Typically where cleaning regimes are important the vinyl flooring is curved up the wall to meet the cladding. (termed cap and coved). The cap style which is the joint beween the walling and the vinyl is dependent upon the use of the area.

The cove is the curve at the joint between the wall and the floor so it provides a curved finish which is easy to clean.
